Jack Canfield

Jack Canfield is a highly accomplished American motivational speaker and author, best known as the co-creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book series. The series has sold over 100 million copies in print, in 47 languages. Canfield and his writing partner, Mark Victor Hansen, were the top-selling authors in the United States in 1997.

Canfield was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1944, and attended high school at Linsly Military Institute in Wheeling, West Virginia. He then went on to earn a BA in Chinese History from Harvard University and a Masters from the University of Massachusetts. He has worked as a teacher, a workshop facilitator, and a psychotherapist. Canfield is the founder of "Self Esteem Seminars" in Santa Barbara and "The Foundation for Self Esteem" in Culver City, California. These organizations aim to train entrepreneurs, educators, corporate leaders, and employees to achieve their personal and professional goals. The Foundation for Self Esteem focuses on training social workers, welfare recipients, and human resource professionals.

Canfield's most recent book, "The Success Principles" (2005), shares 64 principles that he claims can make people more successful. He has also appeared in the DVD, "The Secret" (2006), where he shared his insights on the Law of Attraction and tips for achieving success in personal and professional life. Canfield is a certified trainer who teaches his content and methodology all over the world. He is the author and co-author of more than 150 books, including 66 bestsellers, with more than 100 million copies in print in 47 languages. In 2014, SUCCESS magazine named him "One of the Most Influential Leaders in Personal Growth and Achievement." He holds the Guinness World Record for having the greatest number of books on the New York Times bestseller list at the same time.
