Jack Murray is a British author and artist, who is best known for his historical and cozy mystery novels. Born in Northern Ireland, Murray has spent over half of his life in the suburbs of London. However, he has also lived in various parts of the world, including the United States, Monte Carlo, and Australia. Despite his love for London, Murray has often sought inspiration and new experiences by living in different parts of the world.\n \nMurray's paintings can be found in collections all over the world, including the United States, Australia, and Europe. He has exhibited his work in Britain, Ireland, and Monte Carlo. In addition to his work as an artist, Murray is a prolific writer with several series to his name. His most popular series is the Kit Aston mysteries, which currently has seven books, with an eighth due out in 2023. The series is set to expand further with a new book set in a theater.\n \nMurray has also created a spin-off series featuring a popular character from the Kit Aston mysteries, Aunt Agatha. This series is set in the Victorian era and has proven to be just as popular as the original. In addition to these series, Murray has written a World War II trilogy, which looks at the war from both the British and German perspectives. Lume Books has published the three books, titled "The Shadow of War," "Crusader," and "El Alamein."\n \nMurray has also created a third detective series featuring the grandson of Chief Inspector Jellicoe. The first book in the series, "A Time to Kill," was published in June 2021, followed by "The Bus Stop" in January 2022.
