Jackie Lau, a romance novelist, decided at a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in writing. This decision was made during her second-grade year, between the composition of "The Land of Shapes" and "The Heart That Got Lost." Lau's passion for writing was ignited in childhood, and she would later return to this early dream after studying engineering and working as a geophysicist.
Lau currently resides in Toronto with her husband. Despite being a Canadian native, she does not harbor an affinity for winter. When she is not writing, Lau finds pleasure in a variety of activities, including cooking, hiking, and reading on the balcony during rain showers. Additionally, she indulges in gelato and gourmet donuts, appreciating the finer things in life.
