James B. Cohoon

James B. Cohoon is a successful fiction author, best known for his captivating and thrilling stories. Before becoming a writer, Cohoon worked as a civil litigation lawyer for three decades. His background in legal work provided a smooth transition into the world of writing, as he had already been publishing legal articles and briefs for judges and lawyers for many years.

Cohoon was the president of a Los Angeles-based law firm until his early retirement in 2014. With over 30 years of experience as a civil litigation lawyer, he frequently lectured and published legal articles. His daily work involved writing legal briefs for judges and other lawyers, which he describes as "stories" that fit the facts of his hundreds of legal cases. Cohoon's writing skills were honed through these experiences, making it easier for him to transition into writing fiction.

Cohoon currently resides in California with his high-school sweetheart, Rozanne. They have two children together, Kristin, a lawyer and stay-at-home mother, and Travis, a doctor starting a cardiology fellowship. In his free time, Cohoon enjoys spending time with his grandsons, Everett and Beckett, as well as sighting Orca whales from the San Juan Islands shoreline, playing bridge, and mowing the lawn. "Do No Harm" (The Medical Students, Book 1) is Cohoon's debut novel, and he is currently working on the second book in the series.
