James Brogden is a British author, born in 1969 in Manchester, who has made a name for himself in the genres of horror and dark fantasy. After the publication of his debut novel, "The Narrows," in 2012, Brogden has become a prominent figure in these genres, captivating readers with his unique storytelling and vivid imagination.\n \nBrogden is a part-time Australian who spent his formative years in Tasmania and the Cumbrian Borders before settling in the Midlands of the UK. He currently resides there with his wife and two daughters, where he teaches English when he is not writing. Brogden's love for history and the outdoors is evident in his work, as he often spends his free time exploring stone circles and burial mounds, which serve as inspiration for his writing.
In addition to his novels, Brogden has also published short stories in various anthologies and periodicals, including The Big Issue and the BFS Award-Winning Alchemy Press.
