James E. Mack

James E. Mack was born in Scotland, but his childhood was spent largely abroad. This experience gave him a deep appreciation for the outdoors, nature, and wildlife. Mack's love for adventure and exploration led him to join the military, where he became a Commando in the late 1980s. After passing selection for a special operations unit, Mack spent his military career operating against terrorist organizations around the world. He was involved in running agents, surveillance, and operating undercover, often finding himself at the forefront of the global war on terror.

After completing his military service, Mack transitioned to the private sector, where he continued to provide his skills to UK and US international partners. As a counterterrorism and counterinsurgency advisor, Mack assisted over 30 nations with their fight against violent extremist organizations. His work in the private sector took him to various hot spots around the globe, including West Africa, where he worked with conservation groups to set up counter-wildlife poaching initiatives. Mack's unique background and experiences have provided him with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, which he brings to his thriller novels.

Mack is a bestselling author, with titles such as "The Killing Agent" among his works. His military and private sector backgrounds lend his novels a high level of authenticity and credibility, which his readers appreciate. Mack's writing has attracted interest from screenwriters in the UK, the US, and several European countries. In addition to his work as an author, Mack has also worked in the film industry as a military technical advisor. He recently signed a significant deal with Pan Macmillan for a forthcoming book, scheduled for publication in May 2021. When not traveling or working on his next novel, Mack lives in northern Scotland, where he enjoys outdoor activities such as Telemark skiing and surfing.
