James Sie

James Sie is an American author, playwright, and voiceover artist known for his works in fiction and young adult literature. He is the author of the novel "Still Life Las Vegas," which was a Lambda Literary Award finalist for Best Gay Fiction, and the YA novel "All Kinds of Other." His writing spans genres, including literary fiction and LGBTQ+ narratives, often exploring themes of identity, family, and belonging. Sie has also contributed essays to publications such as The Rumpus, Pen USA, and The Advocate.

Sie's career extends beyond writing, as he is also an accomplished playwright and voice actor. He received a Joseph Jefferson Citation for his adaptation of "Island of the Blue Dolphins" and an After Dark Award for his original work "The Road to Graceland." Born in New Jersey to immigrant parents, Sie studied at Northwestern University and spent years in Chicago as an actor and playwright before transitioning to writing and voiceover work.
