Jamie Carie was born and raised in Vincennes, Indiana as a preacher's daughter. Her childhood was filled with road trips across Indiana to and from Bible studies, where she and her father would engage in deep theological discussions about creation, the fall, God's love, and the earthly walk compared to the spiritual walk. These nights were made even more special by stopping at a truck stop in the middle of the night to enjoy two slices of pie and a couple of Cokes. It was during these trips that her passion for writing was ignited, leading her to produce piles of poems, short stories, skits, and song lyrics.
Carie's writing career took off after her eldest son turned five, and she decided to try her hand at novels. Despite facing rejection for eight years, she persevered and eventually published her first book, Snow Angel, which won several awards and was a finalist for the RITA Awards Best First Book. Since then, she has made an impressive contribution to the inspirational, historical romance genre, featuring heroines who are fierce in their beliefs and love. Her books, such as The Duchess and the Dragon, Wind Dancer, Love's First Light, Angel's Den, Pirate of my Heart, and The Snowflake, have been well-received by readers and critics alike.
Carie's writing is influenced by her passion for history and her belief in the power of love stories. She currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband and three sons. If she could only say one thing to her readers, it would be, “Live the dreams God has destined you for!”
