Jane Jensen

Jane Jensen is an acclaimed game designer and author best known for creating the groundbreaking "Gabriel Knight" adventure game series, including "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers", "The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery", and "Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned". Her work blends supernatural mystery with gothic horror, earning widespread praise and awards such as Computer Gaming World's "Adventure Game of the Year." Beyond gaming, Jensen has authored novels, including "Judgment Day" and "Dante's Equation", the latter of which was nominated for the Philip K. Dick Award.

With a background in computer science, Jensen transitioned from systems programming to game design, joining Sierra Online where she contributed to titles like "King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow" before spearheading her own projects. Her writing is distinguished by intricate plots and atmospheric storytelling, which later influenced her work in casual games, such as "Deadtime Stories" and "Dying for Daylight". In 2012, she co-founded Pinkerton Road, a game studio employing a Community Supported Gaming model to develop narrative-driven experiences.

Residing on a Pennsylvania farm with her husband, composer Robert Holmes, Jensen continues to shape interactive storytelling. She served as a story consultant for "Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller" and remains a pivotal figure in adventure gaming, bridging classic and modern storytelling techniques.
