Janice Preston is a renowned author known for her historical Regency romance episodes. Her writing career took off in 2014, and since then, she has been publishing books with Harlequin Mills and Boon (HMB). Preston's writing style is unique, and she often creates interlinked characters that tell a continuing story, making it likely for readers to come across familiar faces in later stories.
Preston was born in Wembley, North London, and had a love for reading, writing stories, and animals from a young age. After leaving school at eighteen, she moved to Devon and became a farmer's wife, with two children and many animals to care for. Her love for history and the Regency period, in particular, was discovered later in life, leading her to write seriously for the first time since her teens. However, real-life got in the way, and she didn't write again until 2009. Preston joined the Romantic Novelists' Association in 2012, and her first Regency romance was accepted for publication by Harlequin Mills & Boon in late 2013. She now lives in the West Midlands with her second husband and two cats and continues to write Regency romances for Harlequin Mills & Boon.
Preston's books are known for their sensual, emotional, and heartwarming themes. Although all her novels are standalone reads, she enjoys writing stories set in the same Regency world, and many of her books include book-hopping characters. When she is not writing, Preston enjoys reading, swimming, pottering about the garden, and traveling. She fuels her imagination with endless cups of coffee, has a weakness for unhealthy food, and is an expert procrastinator.
