Janni Lee Simner is a renowned author, best known for her work in the young adult, fantasy, and science fiction genres. She is particularly famous for the "Bones of Faeries" series of novels. Contrary to the adventurous life she depicts in her books, Simner admits that she was a cautious child, who would have made a poor pirate, despite her love for adventure stories. She was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and spent much of her childhood indoors, preferring to read and write rather than engage in physical activities that would have exposed her to heights and injuries.
As a teenager, Simner moved to St. Louis, where she attended Washington University. After completing her education, she became a professor of Parareality. Simner's love for writing and adventure stories, however, never waned. She spent countless hours perfecting her craft and creating the fantastical worlds that have captivated readers for years.
Simner currently resides in the Arizona desert, where she continues to write and publish novels, short stories, and scripts for video games. The desert provides a unique and inspiring backdrop for her writing, with its diverse flora and fauna. Despite the challenges of living in such a rugged environment, Simner is convinced that she resides in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Her work has been published in various magazines, including Cricket magazine, and anthologies such as "Welcome to Bordertown." She is also the author of the "Bones of Faerie" trilogy and "Thief Eyes," as well as four books for younger readers, including "Tiernay West, Professional Adventurer."
