Jason Buchholz

Jason Buchholz is a novelist, editor, and publisher known for his literary fiction and contributions to the writing community. He is the author of "A Paper Son" (Tyrus Books, 2016) and the forthcoming "The Cartographer of Sands" (Green City Books, 2025). His shorter works, including poetry and flash fiction, have appeared in publications such as "Gobbledegook" and "Switchback." Beyond his writing, Buchholz co-founded Collaborist, an editorial service dedicated to supporting writers through coaching, editing, and writing assistance.

Buchholz's career spans multiple creative disciplines, blending his background in psychology with a passion for storytelling. He holds a BA in psychology from UC Berkeley and an MFA in creative writing from the University of San Francisco. His professional experience includes roles as an editor and art director for Achiote Press, as well as work as a travel writer and journalist. Currently residing in the Bay Area, Buchholz has lived in several locations throughout Northern California, including Santa Rosa and El Cerrito. His diverse experiences inform his writing, which often explores themes of identity, place, and memory.
