Jay Kristoff

Jay Kristoff is a highly accomplished author of science fiction and fantasy novels. Born in 1973 in Perth, Australia, he grew up with an enthusiastic personality and a love for tabletop games, most notably Dungeons and Dragons. After completing a Bachelor’s of Arts degree, he embarked on a career in creative advertisement in television. However, his literary career did not take off until eleven years later with a steampunk writing project, marking the beginning of his successful career as an author.

Kristoff is well-known for his New York Times and international bestselling series, including the Lotus War Trilogy, Illuminae Files, and Nevernight Chronicle. His works are published in over thirty-five countries and have sold over two million copies in print. He has received numerous accolades for his writing, including eight Aurealis Awards and an ABIA.
