Jeffrey J. Burger was born and grew up in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. After living there for several years, he made the decision to move to the Gulf Coast of Florida when he was 28, and it is here that he currently resides with his German Shepherd, Jax. Despite his move, he regularly returns to Chicago to visit family and friends.
Originally, Burger was drawn to law enforcement, inspired by his father and uncle's careers in the field. However, his extremely creative nature led him down a different path towards successful careers in photography, illustration, design, marketing, and advertising. His first book, "Wings of Steele - Destination Unknown," was a significant milestone, allowing him to add writing and publishing to his list of accomplishments.
Burger's career and life in Florida have provided him with some truly unique experiences. He is a certified NRA firearms Instructor and has worked with civilians, military personnel, and law enforcement officers from many agencies. This has given him the opportunity to regularly handle and become proficient with firearms of all types, new and vintage, from all over the world. Furthermore, Burger has a keen interest in aircraft and flying, having flown with talented civilian and military pilots in a wide range of fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. He finds jets to be incredibly exciting, but the sublime sound and primal feeling of a piston-driven Rolls Royce Merlin V12 in a vintage P51 Mustang are unmatched.
