Jeffrey Cranor

Jeffrey Cranor is a distinguished American author, well-known for his work in science fiction, horror, and mystery genres. He co-authors the acclaimed Welcome to Night Vale series with Joseph Fink. The series began as a podcast in 2012, which the two authors write, and it has since gained significant popularity. It is currently being adapted for television by Gennifer Hutchison of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad fame for FX.

Cranor has made a substantial impact in the online community with his unique storytelling ability, garnering a large following of loyal fans. His work on the Welcome to Night Vale podcast, which he co-writes with Fink, has been particularly successful. The podcast has become one of the largest of its kind, with its blend of the macabre and surreal, all presented with Cranor's signature wit and style.

In addition to his work as a novelist and podcast creator, Cranor is also an accomplished playwright and theater artist. He creates dance and theater pieces with his wife, choreographer Jillian Sweeney. Their most recent collaborations include "Vulture-Wally" at Incubator Arts Project and "This Could Be It" at The Chocolate Factory. Cranor also occasionally writes, performs, and directs (mostly short) plays for the New York Neo-Futurists and their long-running show "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind." Cranor and Sweeney are based in New York.
