Jen Blood is a successful and accomplished author, known for her bestselling mystery series. She has written two popular series, the Erin Solomon Mysteries and the Flint K-9 Search and Rescue Mysteries, which have captivated readers with their strong, independent female protagonists and intricate plotlines. Blood's writing is heavily influenced by a range of authors and genres, with notable influences including Emily Bronte, Dennis Lehane, and Ray Bradbury.
Born and raised in Rockland, Maine, Blood's writing is rich with the details and tone of the isolated and sometimes harsh landscape of her hometown. She has earned an MFA in Creative Writing/Popular Fiction from Southern Maine University, and her work has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. This includes the AIA Seal of Quality and the B.R.A.G. Medallion for ALL THE BLUE-EYED ANGELS, as well as an honorable mention for Best in Fiction from the New England Book Festival for SINS OF THE FATHER. In addition to her work as an author, Blood is also a freelance writer, publishing consultant, and certified dog trainer. She holds a certificate in dog training from the College of Animal Behavior and has worked with local animal shelters to enrich the lives of dogs living there.
