Jen J. Danna is a published author of fiction, who also writes under the pen name of Sara Driscoll. She was born in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Danna has a background in science and specializes in infectious diseases, working as part of a dynamic research group at a cutting-edge Canadian university. However, her true passion lies in writing, where she indulges her love of the mysterious and creates suspenseful crime fiction.
With Ann Vanderlaan, Danna writes two series under the joint pseudonym of Sara Driscoll. The first is the FBI K-9s mysteries series, which features search-and-rescue team Meg Jennings and her black lab, Hawk. The series includes LONE WOLF, BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE, and STORM RISING, with the fourth book, NO MAN’S LAND, released in December 2019. Danna and Vanderlaan's second series under the name Sara Driscoll is the NYPD Negotiators thriller series, which stars Gemma Capello and the Capello family. The series started with EXIT STRATEGY, and the second book, SHOT CALLER, was released on August 31, 2021.
Danna and Vanderlaan craft suspenseful crime fiction with a realistic scientific edge. Under their real names, they have written five Abbott and Lowell Forensic Mysteries, which include DEAD, WITHOUT A STONE TO TELL IT; NO ONE SEES ME ’TILL I FALL; A FLAME IN THE WIND OF DEATH; TWO PARTS BLOODY MURDER; and LAMENT THE COMMON BONES. Danna is a member of the Crime Writers of Canada and lives near Toronto, Ontario with her husband, two daughters, and three rescued cats.
