Jenna Ashlyn is a writer, painter, and photographer who balances her creative pursuits with raising three teenagers. She has published poetry in literary magazines such as "The Atwood Review," "Night Roses," and the collaborative anthology "Poet’s Choice." Her debut novel, "Within the Gray," was released in October 2020. Ashlyn’s literary achievements include being nominated for the 2019 Maier Awards and winning the overall writing award in the 2015 National StarJewel Talent Showcase for her early work on "Within the Gray."
Ashlyn studied English and Creative Writing at the University of Rio Grande and Marshall University, where she contributed to the campus literary magazine "et cetera." Residing in southern Ohio with her family and pets, she volunteers for the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program. Her writing reflects a lifelong dedication to storytelling, with themes often centered on resilience and personal growth. Ashlyn continues to explore her passion for literature while engaging with her community through advocacy and artistic expression.
