Jenna Blum

Jenna Blum is a highly accomplished American author, well-known for her novels 'Those Who Save Us' and 'Woodrow on the Bench'. Born in Massachusetts, Blum completed her Master of Arts degree in 1997 from Boston University, where she later taught creative writing and journalism. She has also taught at Grub Street Writers for over twenty years and currently leads workshops via Blaze Writers Project, based in Boston and online.

Blum's literary career is marked by several distinctions and accolades. Her debut novel, 'Those Who Save Us', received the Ribalow Prize from Hadassah Magazine, an award judged by Elie Wiesel. The book was a bestseller in Holland and a Borders pick. Blum's interviews with Holocaust survivors for the Steven Spielberg Survivors of the Shoah Foundation further demonstrate her commitment to historical narrative and remembrance. Her second novel, 'The Stormchasers', was a Boston Globe bestseller, a Target Emerging Authors pick, and a bestseller in France and Holland. Her third novel, 'The Lost Family', received starred reviews from all four major trades: Booklist, Publishers' Weekly, Kirkus, and Library Journal. Blum's work has been published in over 20 countries, solidifying her international recognition.

In addition to her fiction, Blum has authored a memoir, 'Woodrow on the Bench', about her last seven months with her 15-year-old black Lab and the lessons she learned. She has also produced an audiocourse, 'The Author At Work: The Art of Writing Fiction', and a WWII audiodrama, 'THE KEY OF LOVE'. Blum is a cofounder and CEO of the online author platform A Mighty Blaze. She is also recognized as one of Oprah's Top 30 Women Writers. Blum is currently working on her next book and continues to speak at events both nationally and internationally. She is an active social media user, maintaining a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
