Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Jennifer Lynn Barnes, often known as Jen, is a successful American author who specializes in writing young adult fantasy novels and paranormal romance series. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has had a diverse range of experiences throughout her life, including being a cheerleader, volleyball player, dancer, debutante, primate cognition researcher, teenage model, comic book geek, and lemur aficionado. Her varied background has no doubt contributed to the rich and imaginative worlds she creates in her books.

Barnes has been writing for as long as she can remember and completed her first full book, which she refers to as a "practice book," while still in high school. She went on to study cognitive science at Yale University, where she earned her degree in May 2006.
