Jennifer Foehner Wells is a science fiction author who grew up in rural Illinois. As a child, she was surrounded by the wild outdoors and books, which helped cultivate her imagination. It was during this time that her interest in science fiction was sparked, thanks to a Ray Bradbury compilation and other wonderful science fiction books that she had access to. Jennifer Foehner Wells' debut novel, Fluency, was a huge success in 2014, becoming a frequent KDP Select All-Star. Her sequel, Remanence, was also well-received, earning a finalist spot in the 2016 Goodreads Choice Awards. In addition to her writing, Jen is a skilled craftsperson with a wide range of hobbies. She enjoys cooking, baking, knitting, dyeing fiber, spinning yarn, painting with watercolor, and caring for aquaria and houseplants. She has also tried her hand at making beer and wine, quilting, making socks with antique sock machines, soap, gardening, paper, and bookbinding. Jen is also an avid gamer and science fiction and fantasy reader. She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her family, which includes two teenaged boys, a few cats, a Great Pyrenees, and a Pekingese/Chihuahua mix.
