Jennifer Weiner

Jennifer Weiner is an accomplished American author, known for her work in women's fiction. She was born on March 28, 1970, on an army base in DeRidder, Louisiana, and spent her early years there before moving with her family to Simsbury. Growing up, Weiner was an intelligent and precocious child, who later attended Simsbury High School, where she graduated as a valedictorian in 1987. She then went on to attend Princeton University.

Weiner's writing career has been marked by great success, with eighteen of her books becoming New York Times bestsellers. Some of her most popular works include "Good in Bed," "In Her Shoes," and "That Summer." In addition to her novels, Weiner has also written a memoir in essays titled "Hungry Heart." Her writing has been published in numerous prestigious outlets, including the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.

Weiner is a strong advocate for feminism and has been vocal about gender bias in the literary world. Her novel "In Her Shoes" was adapted into a film starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette, and Shirley MacLaine. She also co-created the ABC Family television show "State of Georgia."
