Jeroen Windmeijer is a Dutch anthropologist and former teacher of Religion and Social Studies who transitioned into a successful writing career. He debuted in 2015 with the historical-religious thriller "De bekentenissen van Petrus," later reissued as "Het Petrusmysterie," which marked the beginning of his acclaimed Leidse trilogy. This series, published by HarperCollins Holland, also includes "Het Pauluslabyrint" and "Het Pilgrim Fathers Complot." Windmeijer has since completed two additional trilogies: the Zuid-Amerika trilogy ("De Offers," "De Genesissleutel," and "De Stenen Goden") and the Sterke Vrouwen trilogy, co-authored with Jacob Slavenburg ("Het Isisgeheim," "Het Evacomplex," and "De Magdalenacodex").
Known for blending historical intrigue with religious themes, Windmeijer's thrillers have gained international recognition, with translations available in Czech, English, Italian, German, and Portuguese. In 2023, he collaborated with Tjarko Evenboer on "Openbaring," the first installment of the Ryevaar trilogy, published by Xander Uitgevers.
