Jesse Kellerman is an accomplished American novelist and playwright, who was born in Los Angeles in 1978. He was raised in a family of writers, as both of his parents, Jonathan Kellerman and Faye Kellerman, are established novelists in their own right. Kellerman studied psychology at Harvard and then playwriting at Brandeis University, which has given him a unique perspective in his writing.
Kellerman's award-winning plays have been produced throughout the United States and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. His literary achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Princess Grace Award for Playwriting for his play "Things Beyond Our Control." Additionally, he has won the Grand Prix des Lectrices de Elle for his novel "The Genius" or "Les Visages" in French. His novel "Potboiler" was also nominated for the prestigious Edgar Award for Best Novel.
In addition to his solo works, Kellerman has also collaborated with his father, Jonathan Kellerman, on several novels, including "Double Homicide" and "Crime Scene," the latter of which was published in fall 2017. An essay titled "Let My People Go to the Buffet" was included in Penguin's Best American Spiritual Writing (2011). Kellerman currently resides in Berkeley, California, with his wife and children.
