Jessica Barksdale Inclán is an accomplished author with sixteen published novels, including "What the Moon Did," "Her Daughter’s Eyes," "The Play's the Thing," and "The Burning Hour." In 2023, she released her debut short story collection, "Trick of the Porch Light," and her third poetry collection, "Let's End This Now," is forthcoming in June 2024. Her work spans multiple genres, from fiction to poetry, and has earned recognition as a Pushcart Prize and Best-of-the-Net nominee.
Inclán's writing has appeared in prestigious literary journals such as The Sun, Salt Hill Journal, Tahoma Review, and So to Speak, with accolades from The Sewanee Review, The Wigleaf, The North American Review, and The Ocotillo Review. A dedicated educator, she taught composition, literature, and creative writing at Diablo Valley College and currently instructs novel writing for UCLA Extension and Southern New Hampshire University's online MFA program. She resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband.
