Jessica Moor

Jessica Moor is a distinguished English author, particularly known for her literary thriller novels. She completed her undergraduate studies in English at Cambridge University. After earning her degree, Moor went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing at Manchester University, further honing her writing skills.

Before her pursuit of a career in writing, Moor gained valuable experience working in the violence against women and girls sector. This experience significantly influenced her writing, as evidenced by her debut novel, Keeper. Her firsthand knowledge of the issues surrounding violence against women and girls provided a unique perspective that she was able to translate into her writing.

Moor grew up in south-west London and has had a successful start to her writing career. After completing her studies, she was selected as one of the Guardian's 10 best debut novelists of 2020, longlisted for the 2020 Desmond Elliot Prize and a Mystery Writers of America Award. In 2022, she won the Nouvelle Voix du Polar, further solidifying her reputation as a talented writer.
