Jessica N Watkins

Jessica N. Watkins is a successful American author, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. From a young age, Watkins showed a passion for writing, entering a short story contest at the tender age of nine. This early start in writing evolved into her classmates paying her to read the novels she wrote about kids their age living the lives their parents would never allow. Watkins' writing has since matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature, focusing on African American romance and urban fiction.

Watkins earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Applied Professional Studies in Business Administration from DePaul University. She has spent most of her working life in Hospital Administration, but her true passion has always been writing. By the time she was 28, Watkins had already published over forty works, a remarkable accomplishment for someone still in their twenties. Her fierce characters and outstanding stories have earned her a reputation as a leading author of urban chick lit, erotica, and contemporary urban fiction.

Watkins' writing is known for its strong female characters who challenge stereotypes and tackle familiar heartache and relatable distress in a humorous, sophisticated, and erotic fashion. Her most recent novel, Secrets of a Side Bitch, published by SBR Publications, reached number one on multiple charts in September 2013.
