Jessica Spotswood is the author of "The Cahill Witch Chronicles," a historical fantasy trilogy, as well as the contemporary novels "Wild Swans" and "The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls." She has also edited the anthologies "A Tyranny of Petticoats" and "The Radical Element," and co-edited "Toil & Trouble: 15 Tales of Women & Witchcraft" with Tess Sharpe. Her most recent work, "Great or Nothing," is a collaborative World War II-era retelling of "Little Women," featuring contributions from multiple authors.
Spotswood's writing spans genres, blending historical settings with fantasy elements and exploring themes of family, identity, and female empowerment. Her editorial work often highlights diverse voices and untold stories, particularly those of women throughout history. In addition to her writing career, she serves as a children’s library associate at the DC Public Library in Washington, DC, where she resides.
