Jessie Garcia

Jessie Garcia is an accomplished journalist and author with a career spanning broadcast sports journalism, television management, and education. After growing up in Madison, Wisconsin, she studied at Boston University and spent over 25 years as a sportscaster, serving as the Green Bay Packers' sideline reporter and hosting NFL coaches' shows. Transitioning to television management, she now leads a newsroom while maintaining a passion for storytelling through writing. Garcia has authored multiple award-winning nonfiction books but recently ventured into fiction with her debut thriller, "The Business Trip," reflecting her long-standing fascination with mysteries and suspense.

Beyond her broadcasting career, Garcia has taught journalism at four universities and produced a documentary exploring an obscure chapter of track and field history. Her professional background informs her precise, engaging writing style, whether covering sports narratives or crafting gripping fiction. She resides in Wisconsin with her husband, their two adult sons, and two rescue pets—a clever stray cat and a beloved Humane Society dog—who complete their household. Garcia continues to balance her roles in media leadership and authorship while developing new literary projects.
