Joanna Gaines

Joanna Gaines is a New York Times bestselling author, designer, and co-founder of Magnolia, a lifestyle brand encompassing home design, media, and retail. She gained widespread recognition as the co-star of HGTV’s "Fixer Upper" alongside her husband, Chip Gaines, where her signature farmhouse aesthetic and renovation expertise captivated audiences. Her published works include "The Magnolia Story," a memoir co-authored with Chip, and "Homebody," a guide to creating intentional living spaces.

Born in Kansas and raised in Texas, Gaines graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Communications. Her internship in New York City ignited her passion for curating beautiful spaces, leading her to open a boutique shop in Waco, Texas. Her design philosophy emphasizes warmth, functionality, and personal storytelling, which translates seamlessly into her writing. Beyond her design career, Gaines serves as Editor-in-Chief of "Magnolia Journal" and co-creates content for Magnolia Network. She draws inspiration from her family life with Chip and their five children, often weaving themes of home and authenticity into her work.
