Joe Milan Jr. is a Korean American author whose debut novel, "The All-American," was published by W.W. Norton in 2023. His work has appeared in literary publications such as The Rumpus, Broad Street, F(r)iction, and The Kyoto Journal. Recognized for his contributions to literature, he was awarded the 2019-20 David T.K. Wong Creative Writing Fellowship at the University of East Anglia.
Milan has held prestigious academic positions, including serving as a Barrick Graduate Fellow and BMI Ph.D. Fellow at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. His writing often explores themes of identity and cultural intersectionality, reflecting his Korean American heritage. Currently, he teaches creative writing as an Assistant Professor at Waldorf University in Iowa.
