Joe Vasicek is a prolific author known for his works in the genres of science fiction and fantasy. His love for these genres was sparked during his childhood after reading “The Neverending Story” and “A Wrinkle in Time.” Although he began writing in high school, he did not publish his first work until much later. After taking a creative writing class at Brigham Young University from author Brandon Sanderson, Vasicek officially entered the writing world with the publication of “Genesis Earth” in 2011.
Vasicek has since written over twenty novels and novellas, including the “Genesis Earth Trilogy,” “Gaia Nova,” “Star Wanderers,” “Sons of the Starfarers,” “Gunslinger Trilogy,” “Twelfth Sword Trilogy,” and the “Star Wanderers: Outworld Trilogy.” His stories have been featured in various publications such as “Leading Edge,” “Perehilion,” “Uprising Review,” “Mirror Dance,” and “Sci Phi Journal.” In addition to his writing, Vasicek has also traveled extensively, studying Arabic and exploring the Caucasus Mountains and the Middle East. He has also lived in several states across the US, including Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts, California, Utah, Washington DC, and Iowa. Despite his travels, Vasicek always finds time to write, no matter where he is.
