Johan Harstad

Johan Harstad is a Norwegian author and multidisciplinary artist whose works span literature, theater, and visual design. He gained international acclaim with his debut novel, "Buzz Aldrin, What Happened To You In All The Confusion," published in Norway in 2005 and later adapted into a TV series featuring Chad Coleman from "The Wire." Harstad's literary achievements include winning the prestigious 2008 Brage Award, an honor previously bestowed upon acclaimed writers like Per Petterson. His books have been translated into multiple languages and published in over 11 countries, solidifying his global reach.

Beyond his novels, Harstad has made significant contributions to theater, becoming the first in-house playwright at Oslo's National Theatre in 2009. His diverse background as a graphic designer and drummer informs his creative approach, blending visual and rhythmic elements into his storytelling.
