John David Mann is a highly accomplished author with over 30 books to his name, including five national bestsellers and four New York Times bestsellers. His writings have earned numerous awards, such as the Nautilus Award, Axiom Business Book Award, Taiwan's Golden Book Award for Innovation, and the 2017 Living Now Book Awards "Evergreen Medal" for "contribution to positive global change."
Before becoming a full-time author, Mann was a successful entrepreneur, journalist, and businessman. He also enjoyed a successful career as a prize-winning composer and concert cellist in his youth. At the age of 13, he performed his first composition, a musical score for Aeschylus's "Prometheus Bound," in Greece at the play's original venue. After graduating from high school, Mann co-founded Changes, Inc., a high school in Orange, New Jersey, and later became a faculty member. He also concertized on the cello and started a career as an entrepreneur and author.
Mann is best known for co-authoring the worldwide classic THE GO-GIVER with Bob Burg, which has sold over 1 million copies. He has also co-authored four New York Times bestsellers, including THE RED CIRCLE with former Navy SEAL sniper Brandon Webb and THE LATTE FACTOR with David Bach. His first novel, STEEL FEAR, co-authored with Webb, was released in July 2021 and has been praised by iconic author Lee Child as "sensationally good—an instant classic, maybe an instant legend." The sequel, COLD FEAR, received critical acclaim as "one of the best crime novels of the year."
Throughout his diverse career, Mann has been a thought leader in several different industries. In 1986, he founded and wrote for Solstice, a journal on health and environmental issues, and built a multimillion-dollar sales/distribution organization of over 100,000 people in the following decade. He was also co-founder and senior editor of the legendary journal Upline and editor in chief of Networking Times. Mann is married to Ana Gabriel Mann, his coauthor for THE GO-GIVER MARRIAGE, and considers himself the luckiest mann in the world.
