John Glatt is a British American author with a focus on true crime books and biographies. He was born in London and began his career in journalism at a young age. After leaving school at 16, Glatt worked a series of jobs before joining a small weekly newspaper. He then went on to freelance for several English newspapers and eventually moved to New York in 1981. In New York, he joined the staff of News Limited and began freelancing for various publications including Newsweek and the New York Post.\n \n Glatt's first book, a biography of Bill Graham, was published in 1981. However, it wasn't until 1998 that he published his first true crime book, "For I Have Sinned." Since then, he has established himself as a prolific writer in the true crime genre, with over 25 true crime books and 5 biographies to his name. Some of his most notable works include "Golden Boy Lost and Found," "Secrets in the Cellar," and "Playing with Fire." With millions of books in print worldwide, Glatt is widely recognized as one of the best true crime writers working today.\n \n Glatt has appeared on numerous television and radio programs all over the world, including ABC- 20/20, Dateline NBC, Fox News, Current Affair, BBC World, and A&E Biography. He and his wife Gail, a jewelry designer, divide their time between New York City, the Catskill Mountains, and London.
