John McPhee

John McPhee is a highly respected American author, best known for his works in the non-fiction, science, outdoors, and nature genres. His writing career began at Time magazine, where he gained valuable experience before moving on to The New Yorker in 1965, a publication with which he remains associated as a staff writer. McPhee's writing has covered a wide array of topics, from sports and education to the environment and geology.

McPhee's literary career took off in 1965 when he published his first book, "A Sense of Where You Are," with Farrar, Straus and Giroux (FSG).
