John Michael Greer

John Michael Greer is a bestselling and award-winning author who has written more than 50 titles across various genres, including science fiction, religion, and environment. Born in Bremerton, Washington and raised in the south Seattle suburbs, Greer began writing at a young age. After writing what he estimates to be a million words of bad prose, his first serious attempt to write a book was published in 1996, titled "Paths of Wisdom".

In addition to being an accomplished author, Greer is also a blogger and the former Grand Archdruid of the Ancient Order of Druids in America. His blog, The Archdruid Report, covers a range of topics, including climate change, peak oil, the future of industrial society, and the occult. Greer's work with the Ancient Order of Druids in America, a Druid order founded in 1912, has also been a significant aspect of his career.

Greer currently resides in Rhode Island with his wife. His writing spans across multiple nonfiction fields, all of which focus on the revival of forgotten ideas, insights, and traditions of practice from the rubbish heap of history.
