John Scherber

John Scherber is a mystery thriller author, originally from Minnesota, who currently resides in Mexico. He is best known for his "The Murder in Mexico" mystery series, which is set in the old colonial hill town of San Miguel de Allende. The series, which consists of over two dozen titles, was initiated with the publication of "Twenty Centavos" in 2010. The novel has been optioned and is currently in development to be made into a TV series.

In addition to the "The Murder in Mexico" series, Scherber is also the author of the "Townshend Vampire Trilogy" and several non-fiction works. His non-fiction works detail his experiences as an expatriate in Mexico, including "San Miguel de Allende: A Place in the Heart," "Into the Heart of Mexico: Expatriates Find Themselves Off the Beaten Path," and "Living in San Miguel: The Heart of the Matter." Scherber's work is known for its fast pace, irreverent humor, and light-hearted journeys into the worlds of antiques and art, all with an edge of suspense. He is also a master at writing cutting edge suspense fiction works and admits that he sees himself in some of his characters.
