John Weisman is a highly accomplished American author, known for his thriller novels and non-fiction works. He has achieved the rare feat of reaching the New York Times Bestseller lists for both fiction and non-fiction, making him a prominent figure in the literary world. Weisman began his career in Naval Special Warfare coverage when he co-wrote the bestseller novel "Rogue Warrior" alongside Richard Marcinko. Following this, he went on to create and develop the fictional follow-up novels with Marcinko, further solidifying his reputation in the field. Weisman is a seven-time best-selling author, with his works appearing on both the nonfiction and fiction bestseller lists. Weisman's 2004 novel "Jack in the Box" received critical acclaim, with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Seymour Hersh praising it as "the insider's insider spy novel." His CIA short stories have been chosen for inclusion in Best American Mystery Stories in 1997 and 2003, further cementing his reputation as a skilled writer. His most recent CIA short fiction appears in "Agents of Treachery." Weisman's analysis has appeared in AFIO's periodical Intelligencer, and he continues to write about the dark, dirty, and dangerous world of the CIA with unmatched expertise.
