Jonathan London is a celebrated American author of fiction, particularly known for his children's books. He has a deep appreciation for the natural world, which is often reflected in his work. London has written more than 70 children's books, with many of them focusing on nature.
London's love for nature can be traced back to his upbringing as a Navy Brat, where he moved every two or three years. This exposure to different environments sparked his curiosity and appreciation for the natural world. He later translated this passion into his writing, creating stories that bring lighthearted and fun stories to life, while also highlighting the wonders of nature.
In addition to his popular nature-themed books, London is also the author of the beloved Froggy series. The series, which includes over twenty-eight books, has been well-received by children and critics alike for its humor and engaging storytelling. London's sons, Aaron and Sean, served as his inspiration for the series.
London has published over 120 books since 1992 and has won numerous awards for his work, including the National Outdoor Book Award (NOBA), the National Science Teacher's Association Outstanding Children's Trade Book Award, and the ILA/CBC Children's Choice Award. Despite his many accomplishments, London remains humble and inspired by young children, dogs, mountains, rivers, stars, trees, great cities, deserts, jungles, great food, dance, art, some sports, and the moon.
