Josephine Hart

Josephine Hart was an Irish-born novelist and playwright best known for her international bestselling novels, including "Damage," "Sin," "Oblivion," and "The Truth About Love." Her debut novel, "Damage," gained widespread acclaim and solidified her reputation as a compelling storyteller. Beyond her fiction, Hart also produced notable theatrical works in London's West End, such as "The House of Bernarda Alba," "The Vortex," and "The Black Prince."

Before embarking on her writing career, Hart worked in publishing as a director at Haymarket Publishing. She later founded literary initiatives like the Gallery Poets and West End Poetry Hour, showcasing her dedication to promoting poetry and the arts. Her novels often explored themes of passion, obsession, and the complexities of human relationships, marked by a sharp psychological depth. Hart passed away in June 2011 at the age of 69.
