Josi S. Kilpack

Josi S. Kilpack is a successful American author, best known for her LDS fiction, cozy mystery, and romance novels. She was born and raised in Utah, where she currently resides with her husband and children in Willard. Kilpack developed a love for reading at a young age, thanks to her mother who encouraged her to read The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. From then on, Kilpack became hooked and has since gone on to write more than thirty novels, a cookbook, and several novellas.

Kilpack's writing career began in 1998 when she wrote her first book while on bed rest with her third child. Since then, she has become a four-time Whitney award winner, including for Best Novel in 2015 and 2019, and has been a Utah Best of State winner for Fiction. In addition to writing under her real name, Kilpack also writes contemporary fiction under the pen name Jessica Pack.

Kilpack's most popular series is the Culinary Mysteries series, which features amateur detective Sadie Hoffmiller. The series combines Kilpack's love for baking and mystery-solving, making it a favorite among her readers. When she's not writing, Kilpack enjoys spending time with her family, baking, sleeping, eating, reading, traveling, and watching TV. She has four children and lives in Northern Utah.
