Joyce Tremel

Joyce Tremel is an accomplished American author, well-known for her cozy mystery novels. She has penned the Brewing Trouble Mysteries series, which has gained a significant following. Before turning to writing, Tremel worked as a police secretary for ten years. During her tenure, she often found herself imagining the demise of certain colleagues, a tendency that she decided to channel into writing to prevent herself from acting on those thoughts.

Tremel's writing career took off with her debut novel, "To Brew Or Not To Brew," which was nominated for a 2015 Reviewers’ Choice Award for best amateur sleuth by RT Book Reviews. The second book in the series, "Tangled Up In Brew," was released in 2016 and went on to win the 2016 Reviewers' Choice Award for best amateur sleuth. It was also named one of the Best Books of 2016 by Kings River Life Magazine. The third book in the series, "A Room With a Brew," was released in 2017 and won the 2017 Reviewers' Choice Award for Best Amateur Sleuth.

In addition to her work as Joyce Tremel, she also writes under the pen name Joyce St. Anthony. Under this pseudonym, she has authored the Homefront News Mysteries, with the first book, "Front Page Murder," released in March 2022. The second book in the series, "Death on a Deadline," followed in November 2022. Tremel's latest book, "Deadly to the Core," the first in the Cider House Mysteries, is set to be released on January 16, 2024.

Tremel is a native Pittsburgher and currently resides in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania with her husband and two cats, Hops and Lager. She is a member of Pennwriters as well as Sisters in Crime, showcasing her dedication to the craft of writing.
