Julia Spencer-Fleming

Julia Spencer-Fleming is a highly acclaimed American author, best known for her mystery novels. She has written the popular Clare Fergusson and Russ Van Alstyne series, set in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York. Her books have won numerous awards, including the Agatha, Anthony, Macavity, Dilys, Barry, Nero Wolfe, and Gumshoe Awards. She has also been a finalist for the Edgar and Romantic Times RC Awards.

Spencer-Fleming was born at Plattsburgh Air Force Base and spent her childhood constantly moving as an army brat. She received her education from Ithaca College, George Washington University, and the University of Maine School of Law.
