Julie Cantrell is a successful and acclaimed author, known for her work in inspirational fiction. She has received numerous awards for her writing, including being a New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author. Her debut novel, "Into the Free," was published in 2012 and she has since gone on to become a critically acclaimed author.
In addition to her work as an author, Cantrell has also had a successful career as an editor. She served as the editor-in-chief of the Southern Literary Review and has received several prestigious awards for her editing work, including the Mississippi Arts Commission Literary Arts Fellowship and the Rivendell Writer’s Colony Mary Elizabeth Nelson Fellowship. She has also been named a short-list finalist twice for the Mississippi Arts & Letters Fiction Award and the Pat Conroy Southern Book Prize.
Cantrell's novels have earned starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal and have been featured in Top Reads lists by various publications such as LitHub, Redbook, Southern Living Magazine, REAL SIMPLE, BookBub, HuffPost, USA TODAY, and more.
