Julie Mulhern is a bestselling American author, known for her cozy mystery series, The Country Club Murders, and the Poppy Fields Adventures series. Mulhern, who was raised in Kansas, developed a love for mysterious and exotic places at a young age. She spent many hours dreaming of these locales and creating pen names, all while reading Agatha Christie mysteries.
Mulhern's passion for romantic and exotic places led her to attend Lee and Washington University in Virginia, where she pursued a degree in French. After graduation, she spent a year in Paris, but eventually returned to her roots in the Midwest to get married and start a family. As a housewife, Mulhern became an expert at cooking gourmet meals, keeping her house clean, and walking the dog. However, she found herself with some extra time on her hands and decided to try her hand at writing. In 2014, she published her debut novel, "The Deep End," which marked the beginning of her successful writing career.
In her spare time, Mulhern enjoys whipping up gourmet meals for her family, working out at the gym, and finding new ways to keep her house clean. However, she admits that she is an expert at calling for take-out, grumbling about walking the dog, and dealing with the dust bunnies under her bed, which have grown into dust lions. Mulhern's love for action, adventure, mystery, and humor is evident in her writing, and she strives to incorporate these elements into her novels.
