Julie Satow

Julie Satow is an award-winning journalist and New York Times bestselling author known for her meticulously researched nonfiction works. Her debut book, "The Plaza: The Secret Life of America's Most Famous Hotel," was recognized as a New York Times Editor's Choice and an NPR Favorite Book of 2019. Her second book, "When Women Ran Fifth Avenue: Glamour and Power at the Dawn of American Fashion," earned critical acclaim, including longlisting for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction and being named a Best Book of 2024 by publications such as Amazon, the Financial Times, and Vogue.
