Justin A. Reynolds is a distinguished American author, well-known for his contemporary, young adult, and speculative fiction stories. His passion for writing can be traced back to his kindergarten days, as documented on a sheet of paper that remains prominently displayed in his mother's office. Reynolds' debut novel, Opposite of Always, was a remarkable success, earning a spot on the Indies Introduce Top Ten Debut list and the School Library Journal Best Book of 2019. It has been translated into seventeen languages and is currently being developed for film by Paramount Players.
Before becoming a published author, Reynolds held various jobs, including working as a night security guard, salesman of faucet fixtures, pest control operator, janitor, carpet-flooring installer, and intern at the Glenn Research Center at NASA. He pursued his education at several colleges and universities before finally settling at the University of Cleveland State, where he earned a degree in creative writing and English literature.
Reynolds' second novel, Early Departures, is set to publish in September 2020. In addition to his work as an author, Reynolds is also the co-founder of the CLE Reads Book Festival, a Cleveland Book Festival for middle-grade and young adult writers, which he launched in July 2019.
