Justin Sloan

Justin Sloan is a successful author, game writer, and screenwriter, known for his work in Gamelit, Children's fiction, urban fantasy, and science fiction novels. His books have been published in the United States and have been translated into multiple languages, making him a widely read author.

Before becoming a full-time author, Sloan worked in the video game industry with credits on popular games such as Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, Walking Dead, and Marvel. He also worked on mobile games and taught Muay Thai kickboxing and Marine Corps Martial Arts. Sloan's advanced degrees in international relations/economics and creative writing have contributed to his success in the writing industry. In addition to his writing career, Sloan has acted in small movie roles and played three songs on the bagpipes.

Sloan's love for science fiction and fantasy began at a young age, starting with watching the animated Hobbit movie on Thanksgiving day. He is a big fan of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and has probably watched these movies a thousand times. Sloan's writing includes game writing, screenplays, and novels, with popular books such as Justice is Calling, Shades of Light, and the Ascension Gate series. He has worked in writing rooms for popular games such as Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, Walking Dead, and Minecraft: Story Mode. Sloan's murder mystery episode of Minecraft: Story Mode was his creation. He has also been staffed on DJ2 Entertainment's TV-hybrid titled Rival S/Peak and has optioned several features and one pilot to Hollywood.
