Justina Ireland

Justina Ireland is an accomplished American author, recognized for her work in the science fiction and fantasy genres. She is best known for her novels Dread Nation and its sequel, Deathless Divide, as well as the Devils' Nation series. In addition to these, Ireland has also made a name for herself in the world of middle-grade fiction, with her Star Wars novels.

Ireland's writing is known for its unique blend of dark humor and compelling storytelling. Despite her success, she remains humble and relatable, admitting to still being afraid of the dark. She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, dog, and child, where she continues to write and create captivating worlds for her readers to explore.

In addition to her work as an author, Ireland is also a former editor in chief of FIYAH Literary Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction. Her contributions to the magazine earned her a World Fantasy Award. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Georgia Southern and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Hamline University.
